Our primary purpose is the promotion of ballroom dancing through various activities including:

- A monthly dance at the beautiful Goldcoast Ballroom in Coconut Creek on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. The chapter provides dance hosts, snacks, a free lesson, and a show, all for $8.00 ($10.00 for non-members).

- The production and distribution of our bi-monthly newsletter called the Sundancer. The Sundancer includes reports, commentary, and photographs of the past month’s activities, as well as announcements of future events. It is also a forum for member discussion, and is partially supported by private advertisers.

Our seven member Board of Directors contribute much time and effort to the advancement of USABDA in South Florida.

- Outreach programs to promote ballroom dance and dancesport to the local community, including a college students program at Florida Atlantic University, and local mall exhibitions.

The wonderful thing about a website is that it can be so dynamic for the members of our organization. As a group, we are growing very rapidly, and the need for input from you is crucial to our continued growth. But growth for the sake of growth is not our purpose. Growth for the purpose of enhancing an activity that we love is at the root of our efforts. Hopefully, this website will help us to continue to build a solid foundation for Royal Palm USABDA, but frankly, it won’t work without your support. Remember that we are a volunteer organization, and we do what we do because we love and believe in it.
